The city also offers a great view of the hills and a perfect place to feel united with nature at the Nandi Hills. It is a hill station near the city of Bangalore which has a solid monolithic granite mass which offers a very good view. The Hill has been named after the Nandi temple of the location. The climate is very pleasant here, and a visitor can visit this hill station at any time of the day. There is a playground for children along with some excellent facilities here. The visitor can engage in numerous activities including trekking, cycling and motorbike riding here.

The government museum located in the city was built in 1886. This museum showcases some rare collections that include some representations from some different periods. There are eighteen different galleries in the museum that holds different artefacts including Neolithic finds, antique jewellery, sculptures and old paintings among many other things.

The national gallery of modern art is also located in Bangalore and should be visited by all lovers of art. It has a very rare collection of over five hundred paintings by artists such as Raja Ravi Verma, Rabindranath Tagore, Jamini Roy and so on. The artworks have been curated very well with proper labelling and have been displayed according to a particular period, art school and artists.
